Bad Boys Blue
Bad Boys Blue é um grupo multinacional de música baseado em Colônia Alemanha. O grupo conseguiu sucesso internacional com as músicas You're a Woman, Pretty Young Girl, I Wanna Hear Your Heartbeat e Come Back and Stay
Iniciou sua escalada ao sucesso no meio dos anos 80. Entre a grande quantidade de grupos que surgiu nesse periodo começava a despontar para o mundo o embrião da Eurodance. A Alemanha usava talentos locais e também procurava talentos estrangeiros. Um grupo que venceu as fronteiras da Europa foi Modern Talking na produção criativa de Dieter Bohlen.
O grupo Bad Boys Blue tinha na sua formação inicial um americano, um jamaicano e um inglês.
O BBB mantém atualmente um único integrante do antigo grupo, o inglês John Edward Mclnerney(nascido em 7 de setembro de 1957). O americano Andrew Fredie Thomas (nascido em 25 de maio de 1948) ficou no grupo de 1984 até inicio de 2005. Seu debut foi o single L.O.V.E In My Car. Escrito a quatro mãos. O jamaicano Trevor Taylor (nascido em 11 de janeiro de 1958 e falecido em 19 de Janeiro de 2008 ficou no grupo de 1984 até 1988 quando participou do último single do grupo Hungry For Love. Depois foi a vez de Trevor Bannister assumir como terceiro membro. Onde ficou de 1989 até 1993, quando BBB deixou a Coconut sua antiga gravadora e produtora.
Em 1993 produziram sozinhos o álbum To Blue Horizons com relativo sucesso. Até início de 1995 o BBB era somente dupla. Foi quando entrou em cena, em 1995, Mo Roussel. O álbum Bang Bang Bang marcava sua estréia. Onde o grupo apresentava um estilo diferente de música. Em 1998 o grupo retorna para sua antiga gravadora: Coconut e seus antigos produtores Tony Hendrik e Karin Van Hareen (que também produziram Haddaway com seu mega sucesso What is Love em 1994). O álbum Back (1998) ganhou disco de ouro e platina na Europa junto com o seguinte Continued (1999) chegaram a marca de meio milhão de cópias vendidas. Ainda no ano de 1999 lançam o segundo álbum em um ano Follow the Light por força do contrato. Um excelente trabalho por sinal. Ainda com Mo Russel (careca) como terceiro membro, mas JoJo Max aparece discretamente. Em 2000 JoJo Max assume a cadeira de terceiro membro do grupo no álbum Tonite. Infelizmente não foi grande sucesso por que a divulgação foi fraca. Um dos melhores trabalhos do BBB nos últimos tempos. Com participação de David Brandes na produção das músicas.
Em 2001, novo rompimento com a Coconut e seus produtores antigos. Lançam uma coletânea com duas músicas inéditas que seriam colocadas no novo álbum. Em 2002 só lançam coletâneas. JoJo Max sai do grupo. Em 2003 lançam o álbum Around the World com produção de David Brandes para a Bros-Music da Alemanha, mas o álbum não emplaca por falta de divulgação.
2004 e 2005 voltam as coletâneas. Andrew Thomas sai do grupo e tenta formar seu próprio Bad Boys Blue junto com JoJo MAx, mas depois disso não houve mais notícias. O novo parceiro nas musicas e shows é Carlos Ferreira, integrado a trupe em março de 2006. Apesar de não manter o glamour dos anos 90 o BBB sempre esta em polêmica. Dois dos ex-integrantes do grupo resolveram fundar um segundo grupo com a mesma definição: BAD BOYS BLUE. Tendo como mentor o veterano Andrew Thomas e um dos últimos integrantes Kevin McCoy ou JoJo Max. Apesar de não assinarem contrato com nenhuma gravadora um site esta sendo elaborado com uma foto simples do grupo. Na sua página oficial há uma confirmação do novo trabalho do grupo formado por John. A produção esta feita em Londres com produtores franceses. De acordo com o site do Bad Boys Blue de John, seu primeiro album em quatro anos será lançado, talvez no final de janeiro ou início de fevereiro de 2008. Lembrando que o album já esta finalizado. Infelizmente essa demora criativa ameaça a iniciativa de novos fãs, pois grupos veteranos ficam muito rotulados aos sucessos passados, trazendo uma incerteza para o futuro. O grupo formado por Andrew Thomas e JoJo Max ainda não se manifestou, apesar, de nada confirmado, de estarem fazendo shows por algumas cidades da europa.
